★★★★★ Anne of Green Gables

It was amazing, I loved it! Anne is just so vibrant, full of life, so real, so likable! Ms Montgomery has undoubtedly created one of the most memorable books in the history of literature. I would certainly recommend reading this beautifully written story about a young orphan girl's adventures on the charming Prince Edward Island, as well as the six following novels about her later life and children, and how she fared during World War I

★★★★★ The Best thing to listen when going somewhere .

Anne is an extraordinarily unique girl with a hilarious point of view on everything, whether it be the way her name is spelt or how flowers should have names.

★★★★★ Anne of Green Gables

What a delightful story this is. Anne is such a vivacious and imaginative individual. Although I enjoyed the entire story, my favorite part is the educational competition between Anne and Gilbert, and the emphasis on having ambitions and studying. Life rarely goes the way we want it to and that is certainly the case for Anne and Gilbert, but they adjust course and keep going. I also loved the way Anne eventually accepts that she has held a grudge against Gilbert for far too long; she is a wonderfully human protagonist. Matthew Cuthbert was also a favorite character; in his own way he has a lot of wisdom. Finally, I loved the way the story emphasizes that big and fancy and exciting isn't always the best thing; there is much beauty and comfort in the simple things of life.

The book Anne of Green Gables is a heartwarming novel about Anne Shirley, a 13 year old girl. When Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert send for a boy from an orphan asylum to help Matthew on the farm a mistake occurs and Anne arrives instead. For the Cuthberts, Anne is just a mistake, but for Anne, Green Gables is a dream come true. Anne then proves herself to the Cuthberts and becomes a kindred spirit. Anne has soon becomes head of the class and is determined to be a teacher. Although she has a temper Anne soon becomes loved by all. In the end Anne fulfills her dream and becomes a teacher at Avonlea school. This book was one of my favorites by far and I hope that others will enjoy it as much as I did.

I enjoyed the voice this audio recording brought to my favorite book. Listening to the story slows you down so you can appreciate how truly stunning Avonlea is, and lets you absorb how Anne's never-ending dialogue flows and branches and continues on and on. The reader was subtle in her reading of voices - they weren't blatantly different. But even so, by the end of the story, I knew which character was speaking just from the inflection and tone of the reader's voice. I think the reading was well done and enjoyable.

★★★★★ A 10 out of 5!!

Anne of Green Gables is a very interesting book full of all sorts of fun. Anne, the main character, is such an interesting character who has had a troubled start to her childhood. She is very funny and talks a lot.
